Nickel Alloy 825

Nickel Alloy 825 is a non-magnetic nickel-based alloy with a high content of chromium, copper and molybdenum. The alloy offers great resistance to oxidizing and corrosive environments. And is also highly resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids.

Also, Nickel Alloy 825 is resistant to stress corrosion cracking and localized corrosion attacks, such as intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. The mechanical properties of the alloy provide excellent performance under severe conditions. Both at extremely low cryogenic and moderately high temperatures up to 1000°F. When exposed to temperatures above 1000°F, the microstructure can change. This results in a significant reduction in ductility and impact strength.

Application

Nickel alloy 825 is used for upstream oil and gas fluids, chemical processing and nuclear applications. But also, in pollution control, acid production and components in pickling equipment such as heating coils, tanks, baskets and chains.

Stainalloy

Stainalloy supplies large Nickel Alloy 825 pipe packages worldwide, which are required for green building projects. In addition, Stainalloy serves medium to small alloy 825 piping packages from stock during the advanced construction phase. Stainalloy does this when short lead times are required.

Stainalloy stocks ½" through 8" seamless Nickel Alloy 825 in cold worked annealed condition, and are manufactured by only the most reputable mills. The tubes are manufactured in accordance with ASTM B423. In addition, the tubes are subjected to additional testing. These tests exceed both industry and customer specific standards such as Shell, ADNOC and PDO. In addition to seamless and welded tubes that comply with ASTM B366 UNS N08825, Stainalloy can also supply flanges and forgings. These flanges and forgings conform to ASTM B564 UNS N08825.

Our customers benefit from a Nickel Alloy 825 stock program. Especially useful for customers undertaking construction projects related to the upstream oil and gas industry. This stock program is subject to the most stringent testing requirements, which go beyond Shell MESC specifications. All Nickel Alloy 825 stocks are manufactured exclusively by European, Japanese or U.S. plants.
